Dispatch Releases Recordings of Ahn Sung-il, Warner Music Fifty Fifty Member, and Parental Tampering
On the 11th, The Dispatch reported that it was clear that Ahn Sung-il and Warner Music (Korea) were the actors in the 'FIFTY FIFTY' situation, along with the news that they had obtained evidence of Ahn's tampering.
According to the recordings, Ahn Sung-il told the parents of Fifty Fifty members that Attract's CEO Jeon Hong-joon had no plans for the management. He also made disparaging remarks about Jeon, centered around the claim that all of the advance payments were debts owed by the members, and created anxiety among the parents of the members.
He also attempted to recruit the parents of former members Sanna, Aran, Shio, and Kina by claiming to have a big offer from the United States.
In May of last year, Jin Seung-young said, "The former CEO is trying to use the children to get a big loan," and "Parents, don't take the lawsuit lightly. If you're going to do it, do it to the end." He also encouraged lawsuits by spreading false information.
Fifty Fifty, meanwhile, released their first single in February of last year, "The Beginning: Cupid," which entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, the main chart of the U.S. Billboard music charts, but in June of that year, conflicts erupted when the members suddenly filed a cease-and-desist order against their agency, Attract.
The members claimed that the agency failed to fulfill its settlement obligations, ignored its health protection obligations, and lacked support, while the agency refuted the claims and pointed to outsourcing company Dougiebus CEO Ahn Sung-il and Warner Music Korea as outside forces.
The court sided with Attract, and the members appealed. In the process, Kina withdrew her appeal and returned to the agency on her own, while the other three members followed suit by terminating their contracts and leaving the agency.
The members of the group are now in the process of withdrawing from the agency. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
