TWS to Make Official Japanese Debut in July with Single ‘はじめまして’

K-pop group TWS will officially debut in Japan this July with the release of their first Japanese single.

On May 1 at midnight, TWS announced via their official social media that their Japanese debut single ‘はじめまして’ will be released on July 2. The title, which translates to “Nice to meet you,” hints at a fresh beginning and their first encounter with Japanese fans.

The single will feature three tracks, including a Japanese original. Their agency, Pledis Entertainment, described the release as “a refreshing and sparkling work that captures the excitement of summer, showcasing the bright charm of TWS.”

TWS has already shown strong popularity in Japan. Their first single ‘Last Bell’ surpassed 100,000 cumulative shipments in Japan as of December 2024 and earned a Gold Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Their third mini album ‘TRY WITH US’, released on April 21, ranked second on the latest Oricon weekly album chart dated May 5.

The group also demonstrated strong ticket power with their first fan meeting, ‘2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING ‘42:CLUB’ in JAPAN,’ held on March 15–16 at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza Main Arena in Tokyo. All three shows were sold out, drawing a total of around 30,000 fans.

TWS is currently promoting their third mini album ‘TRY WITH US’.
