SHINee Marks 17th Anniversary with New Single ‘Poet | Artist’ and MV Release

SHINee has released their new single "Poet | Artist" to mark their 17th debut anniversary, drawing major attention from fans.

On May 25, SHINee unveiled the single’s title track "Poet | Artist" and the B-side "Starlight" on various digital music platforms. The music video for the title track was also released simultaneously via the SMTOWN YouTube channel, generating enthusiastic responses from both domestic and international fans.

"Poet | Artist" is an electro-pop track featuring lyrics that encourage breaking free from conventions and applying poetic expression to everyday life, reflecting the mindset of a poet and artist. "Starlight" captures the emotions of a first encounter, likening it to being illuminated by starlight, and is a refreshing medium-tempo dance pop song.

The music video showcases SHINee's artistic presence through vibrant colors and symbolic visuals that align with the song’s theme. Sets featuring dreamlike skies reflected in water and crumbling walls contribute to a fairytale-like mise-en-scène that enhances the emotional tone of the song.

Meanwhile, SHINee concludes their seventh solo concert series, "SHINee WORLD Ⅶ ‘E.S.S.A.Y’ (Every Stage Shines Around You)," with a final show held at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park on the same day.
