BTS member Jin expressed his candid and humorous thoughts about the upcoming return of his fellow members from military service.

On May 22 (KST), Jin appeared on NBC’s popular talk show “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where he sat down with host Jimmy Fallon to discuss his latest activities.

After completing his military service in June of last year, Jin has actively pursued solo promotions while the other BTS members fulfilled their military duties. Most recently, he released his new single “Echo” and has returned to performing.

Speaking about the new release, Jin said, “‘Happy’ was released not long after I was discharged, and I wasn’t sure what message to convey. But with ‘Echo,’ I was able to express my emotions more sincerely. Since I created it with a tour in mind, it includes many upbeat tracks.”

Regarding the title track “Don’t Say You Love Me,” he explained, “It’s about those moments in love when you know it’s time to let go, but you just can’t. It captures a bittersweet but calm emotional complexity.” He joked to Jimmy Fallon, “So don’t say you love me,” but quickly added with a smile, “ARMY can say it anytime they want.”

Jin also shared his excitement about performing solo, saying, “You can look forward to seeing my face up close—more than just the vocals.”

When asked about all BTS members returning from the military by June, he said with a laugh, “I’ve enjoyed promoting alone, but once they’re back, I’ll treat them well—they’ve been through a lot.” He added, “They’re the heroes of my life, so I’ll take good care of them.”
