BTS’s Jin Earns Global Praise for Mini Album ‘Echo’…“A Testament to His Artistic and Musical Growth”
Jin of BTS is receiving praise from major international media for his second mini album ‘Echo’.
On May 16 (local time), UK-based music magazine NME wrote, “If Jin weren’t a member of BTS, he might have been the lead vocalist of a band, layering his emotional voice over guitar riffs and pounding drumbeats.” The magazine highlighted how ‘Echo’, built on band-oriented sounds, further solidifies Jin’s position as a powerful vocalist and expands his musical range.
NME described the album title as fitting: “Echo doesn’t show a completely different world from his previous work ‘Happy’, but feels like a familiar yet fresh resonance coming back off the wall.” The magazine concluded that Jin is refining the kind of music that suits him best and will continue to grow on his own path.
Rolling Stone noted that Jin has always had a distinct sense of style and sentiment within BTS and described ‘Echo’ as “an expansion of his romantic world.” The outlet praised his calm and confident delivery, saying he performs as though he never left the stage.
USA Today focused on Jin’s deep musical expression, stating, “Through ‘Echo’, Jin enhances the emotional depth and stage presence of his artistry. His love for rock is clearly reflected in the album’s tone and composition.”
Billboard introduced the album as a seven-track release that showcases Jin’s matured vocals and emotions, highlighting the dynamic band sound that supports his versatile voice. V Magazine also offered praise, stating, “Jin pours genuine life experiences and emotion into ‘Echo’, demonstrating growth in both his musical and artistic identity.”
Meanwhile, Jin is scheduled to appear on NBC’s ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on May 22, where he will perform the title track ‘Don't Say You Love Me’. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
