Baekhyun releases final teaser for ‘Essence of Reverie’ ahead of comeback

EXO member and solo artist Baekhyun has released the final teaser for his upcoming mini album, raising anticipation ahead of his comeback.

On May 17, his agency INB100 shared the music video teaser for the title track “Elevator” from Baekhyun’s fifth mini album “Essence of Reverie” through official social media channels.

The teaser begins with Baekhyun’s gaze falling on someone inside an elevator, followed by a montage of him immersed in filming. Pop art-style graphics and dynamic transitions come together to create a visually rich presentation.

Ahead of the album release, Baekhyun has actively engaged fans with a variety of promotional content. Along with the teaser, he has unveiled concept photos, films, and trailers. On May 16, he premiered the pre-release track “Chocolate” on KBS2’s Music Bank, and on May 17, he gave a short preview of the track “Lemonade” during MBC’s Show! Music Core, building further excitement.

“Essence of Reverie” will be released at 6 p.m. on May 19 via major online music platforms. The album explores Baekhyun’s inner self standing between reality and ideals. It reflects both his past image and his future artistic direction. Baekhyun participated in the production of all tracks, and his collaboration with Colde has drawn additional attention.

Following last year’s “Hello, World,” which marked a fresh start as a solo artist, Baekhyun is expected to use this new release to highlight his essence as an artist and redefine his musical identity.
