The film ‘YADANG: THE SNITCH’ has surpassed 3 million viewers, reaffirming its status as a major box office hit of the year.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing network, ‘YADANG: THE SNITCH’ recorded a cumulative audience of 3,000,059 as of 4:12 PM on the 12th, achieving this milestone just 27 days after its release. This makes it the second film of the year after ‘Mickey 17’ to cross the 3 million mark, but with a significantly faster pace than ‘Mickey 17,’ which took 39 days.

‘YADANG: THE SNITCH’ previously outperformed ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ in its third week and set a new box office record for R-rated films released since 2020. In its fourth week, it claimed the top spot among Korean films released this year, surpassing ‘The Match.’

The film also held the number one spot at the box office for 24 days, overtaking ‘The Match’ (21 days) and tying with ‘Mickey 17,’ which holds the record for most days at number one among all releases this year.

‘YADANG: THE SNITCH’ is a crime action film that follows a broker who orchestrates Korea's drug trade, an ambitious prosecutor, and a detective determined to dismantle drug crime. Since its release on April 16, the film has continued to break records despite its R-rating.
