Jennie Reflects on Coachella: "I Was Scared of Myself Before the Stage… Got Emotional Seeing the Crowd"

BLACKPINK’s Jennie opened up about her emotional experience performing at the Coachella stage in the United States.

Appearing on the May 7 episode of the tvN variety show “You Quiz on the Block,” Jennie shared her honest thoughts on preparing for large-scale performances.

“Before a big stage, my emotions go up and down like a roller coaster. The ups and downs are so intense that I even become scared of myself,” she confessed. “I had a lot of self-doubt, and I could see myself trying to run away. It was stressful to show such a vulnerable side to others.”

She continued, “I couldn’t help but wonder, ‘Will people really come to see us? Will it be a big crowd?’ But when I got on stage and looked out, I saw an endless sea of people. I was overwhelmed and deeply grateful. It gave me strength to move forward.”

The episode also featured MC Jo Se-ho parodying “like JENNIE” in front of a 360-degree camera set up by the production team, adding humor to the broadcast.
