Wendy Signs Exclusive Contract with ASCEND… Red Velvet Activities to Be Fully Supported

Singer Wendy has started a new chapter by signing an exclusive contract with ASCEND.

On the 25th, ASCEND announced, "We have signed an exclusive contract with Wendy, a member of the group Red Velvet. We are delighted to work with an artist who has demonstrated exceptional capabilities in various fields." They added, "We will actively support Wendy's activities with Red Velvet and do our utmost to help her shine even more under ASCEND."

Previously, ASCEND raised expectations by hinting at a new artist joining through their official social media channels.

Wendy debuted as a member of Red Velvet in 2014 and has released numerous hit songs such as 'Ice Cream Cake,' 'Red Flavor,' and 'Psycho.' In 2021, she made her solo debut with her first mini-album 'Like Water' and released her second mini-album 'Wish You Hell' in March 2024.

She also received praise for drama OSTs like 'Goodbye,' 'Because I Love You,' and 'My Days Are Filled with You.' Additionally, Wendy served as a judge on Mnet's 'Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival' and KBS2's 'The Dandara,' and demonstrated excellent hosting skills as a DJ for SBS Power FM's 'Wendy's Young Street.'
