NCT WISH Achieves First Million-Seller with ‘poppop’ – Breaks Record in Just One Year Since Debut
NCT WISH has achieved their first-ever million-seller with their second mini-album 'poppop'.
According to their agency, 'poppop', released on April 14, recorded 1,087,838 copies sold as of April 21, based on initial sales tracked by Hanteo Chart. This marks the group’s highest first-week sales yet and the first time they have surpassed the 1 million mark within the first week since debut—proving their rapid growth.
With this achievement, NCT WISH has continued a steady rise in album sales following their debut single WISH (280,000 copies), second single Songbird (530,000 copies), and first mini-album Steady (790,000 copies), finally joining the ranks of million-sellers.
'poppop' had over 1.21 million pre-orders and went on to top major domestic daily and weekly album charts upon release. Internationally, it also performed well, ranking No. 2 on Melon HOT100 (within 30 days of release), No. 1 on Japan YouTube’s trending videos, No. 2 on Korea YouTube’s trending music, No. 1 on Japan AWA real-time rising chart, No. 3 on China’s QQ Music Trend Peak Chart, and No. 7 on its new releases chart.
Meanwhile, NCT WISH is scheduled to appear on their first radio show since their comeback on KBS Cool FM’s “Lee Eun Ji’s Gayo Plaza” at 12 PM on April 21. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
