Espa and ExxonMobil have also sued the operators of the cyberlekka detoxification camps.

SM Entertainment, the management agency of ESP and Suho, announced on Thursday that they have sued a detention center. Talduksuyongso is a YouTube channel that randomly produced fake news about celebrities such as BTS, I.V, ESP, and Newzine.

Ahead of SM Entertainment's lawsuit, several stars, including BTS members V, Jungkook, Jang Won Young, and Kang Daniel, also sued Takeducksusong.

On September 2, the first hearing was held for BTS V and Jungkook's defamation case. The operator of the detention center is facing charges of defamation and insult under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, among others.

The operator, however, denied all charges except for making the video. "The intention is that there was no intention to defame or interfere with business, and even if it constitutes defamation, there is no offense because I believed it to be true," he said.

On the other hand, in January, in the first trial of a damages suit filed by IVE member Jang Won-young against the operator of the Taldok detention center, the court ruled that "the operator of the Taldok detention center must pay Jang Won-young 100 million won."
