BTS's Jin to return with second mini album 'Echo' on May 16...first new music in six months
Jin's new album, "Echo," comes about six months after his first solo album, "Happy," which was released last November. Jin reportedly decided to make this quick comeback because he wanted to meet with fans more often.
"Echo" is an album that contains various moments that we encounter in our daily lives, each echoing in its own way. It explores universal stories and emotions that anyone can experience through the eyes of Jin, and is completed with a simple yet witty sensibility."
The album, which contains seven songs in total, is organized around the band's sound following the previous album, Happy. It shows the continuity of Jin's musical taste and direction. Despite the variety of styles, Jin's delicate and warm vocals take center stage."
The promotion leading up to the album release is also eye-catching. At 6 a.m. on the 15th, a surprise video of Jin was released at K-Pop Square Media in COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. In the video, Jin holds up a placard that reads "May 16" inside a crane game machine filled with dolls, announcing the release of the new album. The video, which was shown on the largest LED billboard in Korea, made a strong statement about Jin's presence.
"We planned this promotion to announce Jin's comeback in a different way and make the waiting time with his fans more enjoyable," said Big Hit Music. The video will be shown every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily from April 15 to 19.
Fans are eagerly anticipating what new sounds Gene's "Echo" will deliver. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
