As of 4:08 p.m. on the 11th, the music video for "Who," the title track of Jimin's second solo album "MUSE," has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. This makes it Jimin's third solo music video to reach 100 million views, after "Set Me Free Pt. 2" and "Like Crazy" from his first solo album "FACE."
The music video for "Who" from his second solo album "MUSE" has reached 100 million views on YouTube.
"Who" was released on July 19, 2024, and immediately entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 at No. 14 and remained on the chart for a total of 33 weeks. This is the longest chart run for a group or solo act by a K-pop artist, surpassing the previous record of 32 weeks held by BTS' "Dynamite."
The song has also spent a total of 28 weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart, making it the longest-running entry for a Korean solo artist since the chart was revamped in 2014. "Who" also continues to be a global hit, having been certified gold for streaming by the Japan Recording Industry Association on March 28th.
"Who" is a song that delicately expresses longing and complex feelings for someone you've never met. The song's harmonization of opposites is one of the highlights of the song, with a pure message of wanting to find true love over a sexy and sassy beat.
The music video shows Jimin's journey to find true love. Jimin maximizes his emotions by performing in every scene, from walking alone through the streets to moving through the crowd. The sensual camera movements make his performance stand out, while the LED signboard with the album's title, the flyer with "1995s TOP love song," and the camcorder-like footage give the video a vintage feel. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
