Girls' Generation's Sunny signs with A2O Entertainment...training to produce under Yoo Young-jin's guidance

Sunny (Lee Sun Kyu) of Girls' Generation has signed an exclusive contract with A2O Entertainment and started a new career as a producer.

A2O Entertainment said on Tuesday, "Sunny recently signed an exclusive contract with us and is currently undergoing production training under the guidance of producer Yoo Young Jin." Sunny is not just an artist, but also plays a variety of roles such as planning training programs for trainees, providing psychological care, participating in video content production, and guiding styling and choreography.

Previously, Sunny appeared as a producer in the '2024 Summer Training Camp' video uploaded to A2O Entertainment's official YouTube channel on July 7. After the video was released, speculation of Sunny signing with the agency was raised, and this announcement makes it official.

Sunny hasn't revealed much since she ended her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment in August 2023, but with this signing, she will begin her full-time activities as a producer for A2O Entertainment.

A2O Entertainment, meanwhile, is a new agency founded by SM Entertainment's former executive producer Lee Soo-man, and is currently based in the U.S. and preparing to produce idol groups. The former producer has decided to suspend domestic music production for a period of time after selling his stake in SM Entertainment.

A2O Entertainment has been releasing trainees and showcasing content through its YouTube channel, and its first group, A2O MAY, gained attention in December last year with a remake of the hit song "MIROTIC" by TVXQ.
