EXO's Kai begins full-scale comeback after military service...solo album, concerts to follow
Kai was demobilized on Feb. 10 after completing his alternative service as a social service worker. After faithfully completing his service for about a year and a half, he immediately resumed his activities. He announced his return with a live broadcast with fans on Feb. 11, and has since been focusing on his web performances and concert preparations.
Recently, he appeared on Theo's YouTube channel "Salon Drip 2" to share his daily life during his military service. "I lived as Kim Jong-in, not Kai," he said, adding that he used public transportation to get to work and spent meaningful time with the elderly at a dementia center. His 9 a.m. start time and 6 p.m. finish time, followed by a workout, gave Kai a new perspective. "I understand what it's like to work overtime," he said, adding that he has grown as a person."
Since resuming his activities, Kai has also been active in entertainment, becoming the second MC of the web show "Ex-convict: A Man Who Commits Crimes Every Day. At the same time, he is also making a new start as a singer. On April 21, he will release his fourth mini album "Wait On Me," his first new music in about two years. Prior to this, she will be performing the pre-release song "Adult Swim" on Mnet's "M Countdown" on April 3.
Kai has established his unique style through his previous albums "Mmmh" and "Rover".
In addition, Kai will be holding the "2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR (<KAION>)" starting in May. The tour will kick off with a concert in Seoul on May 17 and 18 and will continue to 10 cities in Asia, including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Taipei.
After completing his military service, Kai is returning to the stage with a more mature look and is embarking on a full-fledged solo career. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
