Kim Soo-hyun sues Kim Sae-ron's family for 11 billion won in damages...eyes on trial outcome
On April 1, the court allocated the damages claim filed by Kim Soo-hyun against Kim Sae-ron's family, the operator of the YouTube channel Garosero Lab, and an unnamed person who is said to be Kim Sae-ron's aunt, according to legal sources. The suit was filed for 11 billion won, not the 12 billion won initially mentioned at the press conference.
Kim Soo-hyun is currently facing allegations that he dated Kim Sae-ron for six years, starting when they were in the third grade of middle school. His agency, Gold Medalist, said they dated for about a year in 2019, after Kim came of age, but a series of revelations by the Garosero Research Center have spread the allegations.
Kim Soo-hyun eventually held a press conference to plead his innocence, claiming that the evidence released by the bereaved family was fabricated. He said they dated for a year after the deceased became an adult, and refuted claims that his rejection led to her tragic choices.
Kim Soo-hyun's legal representative, lawyer Kim Jong-bok of law firm LKB & Partners, said he has decided to pursue criminal and civil cases against those involved to clarify the facts.
Meanwhile, TV Chosun's "Case File 24" reported that Kim Sae-ron's friends are preparing a statement stating that "Kim Sae-ron has been dating Kim Soo-hyun since she was a minor. According to the report, there are about eight of Kim's friends who are aware of this."
The allegations of Kim Soo-hyun's underage relationship are now left to the courts to decide, and the outcome of the 11 billion won ($12 million) lawsuit is now in the spotlight. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
