BTS Names '15 Greatest Collaborators of All Time' in a Big Way
The U.S. media outlet Complex released a list of the "15 Best K-Pop and Rap Collaborations of All Time" on Aug. 28 (local time), and selected five songs by BTS. The collaborations between Korean artists and international rappers are among the best in the world, proving once again the global musical influence of BTS.
Jungkook's solo track "Seven (feat. Latto)" topped the list. "It's hard to imagine a more effective K-pop and rap collaboration than this," Complex said of the song, citing Jungkook's vocal expressiveness, Latto's impressive production and trendy sound as key factors.
J-Hope also had two songs on the list. "on the street (with J. Cole)" and "LV Bag (feat. j-hope & Pharrell Williams)" were recognized for their different appeal. "J-Hope has been establishing himself as a solo artist for years," the publication said, explaining that the former contains an emotional and serious message and the latter an energetic performance.
"Change," featuring RM and Wale, also made the list. Complex called it "one of the most memorable collaborations" and said it "takes a heavy topic and turns it into a hopeful message," citing the lyrics "The world is gonna change" as a standout.
Bangtan Boys' group song "Butter (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)" also made the cut. "'Butter' is a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit, and Megan Thee Stallion's participation adds a new dimension to the song," Complex explained, praising the collaboration. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
