EXO's Kai Takes On First Solo Concert Ticketing Challenge

EXO’s Kai shared his experience of attempting to book tickets for his own solo concert — and failing — with fans.

On March 26, Kai appeared on EXO’s official YouTube channel, showing himself participating in the ticketing process for the upcoming “2025 Kai Solo Concert Tour KAI ON,” which will be held at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul on May 17 and 18. This marks Kai’s first solo concert since completing his military service.

In the video, Kai expressed his intention to gift the ticket to a fan if he succeeded and aimed for a standing ticket. He showed confidence as the waiting queue moved quickly but encountered technical difficulties due to a pop-up block setting during the process.

Though he managed to reach the seat selection phase, he ultimately failed to secure a ticket as the seats disappeared during payment. He candidly shared, “The fact that there are no tickets left is a good thing, but I’m still sad I didn’t get one.”

Kai added with a laugh, “Trying to book a ticket using a company laptop was a cocky move — I should’ve gone to a PC cafe.” He continued, “Just being able to go through the ticketing process with fans was meaningful in itself,” and expressed his happiness over the sold-out show along with deep respect for his fans.

This concert is Kai’s first solo tour since debut, and tickets were in high demand, reflecting the immense attention from fans.
