aespa Wins 4 Awards at MTV VMAJ 2025, Becoming First Female Artist in Japanese Awards History

aespa has once again demonstrated its global presence with four awards at MTV's Video Music Awards Japan 2025 (VMAJ) in Japan.

aespa attended the 'VMAJ 2025' held on March 19 at K Arena Yokohama in Japan and won four awards, including Artist of the Year. The group also won the categories of "Best Group Video" (International) for "Whiplash," the title track of their fifth mini album, and "Best Dance Video" and "Best K-POP Video" for "Supernova" and "Armageddon," the double title track from their first album, respectively.

Notably, this is the first time a female artist has won four awards at the VMAJs, proving that Eaespa is a force to be reckoned with in the Japanese music market.

After winning the award, Eaespa thanked her Japanese fans and took the stage to deliver a powerful performance of 'Whiplash'. The local audience responded with enthusiasm and shared in her energy."

aespa previously won two awards at the 39th Japan Gold Disk Awards, being named "New artist of the year" and "Best 3 new artists," and with this VMAJ award, they have been recognized for both their musicality and popularity in Japan.

aespa made their official debut in Japan with their single "Hot Mess" on July 3 last year, and have been gaining a lot of attention locally with two arena tours and a sold-out performance at the Tokyo Dome for the second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, aespa will be performing at the Tokyo stage of Summersonic 2025, a major music festival in Japan, in August.
