Stray Kids builds excitement a day before release of digital single 'Mixtape: dominate'
Stray Kids will release their digital single "Mixtape : dominATE" on July 21 at 1 p.m. ET (0 p.m. PT). It's a special gift to fans on the seventh anniversary of their debut, and features new songs from the new unit combination.
After previewing some of the songs through "UNVEIL : TRACK" from the 15th to the 18th, JYP Entertainment posted spoiler images with behind-the-scenes teasers and hints of the story to come on its official social media channels on the 19th.
"Burnin' Tires" (Changbin & I.N) raised expectations for the new song with its unique combination of personalities. The mysterious phrases found in the cafe, the car and motorcycle racing, and the two engaging in a dance battle and holding the trophy in their hands made us curious about the song's atmosphere.
The concept of the "Truman" unit (Han & Felix) is also strong. Han exuded a dreamy charm with his beaded denim styling, while Phyllix exuded charisma with his all-black look and bold accessories. The tense atmosphere they create amongst the broken buildings and masked figures hints at the song's intense concept.
"Burnin' Tires" combines Changbin's hard-hitting rap with Ien's smooth vocals, while a funky electric guitar sound drives the pace of the track. "Truman" is a rage hip-hop track featuring Han and Phyllix's distinctive voices, with a sensual intro and hard-hitting raps.
Stray Kids, who have established themselves as a "self-producing group" by contributing to the songs on each album, are taking another musical turn with these new songs. Starting in Santiago on July 27-28 (local time), the group will hold a total of 34 stadium performances in 22 regions across Latin America, North America, Japan, and Europe, where they will premiere the new unit songs. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
