Singer Wheesung starts condolences from today (14th)...bereaved family “May you be with us on the way to your brother”

The funeral process for singer Wheesung will begin today. The wake at Samsung Medical Center Funeral Home will be open for mourners from 11 a.m. on Thursday."

The family had originally planned to hold a quiet funeral, but decided to hold a memorial service for those who loved him. "The bereaved family and officials have requested that the media refrain from covering the funeral outside the funeral home so that they can quietly mourn the deceased's passing," the agency Tazo Entertainment said.

Earlier, the deceased's younger brother said, "There was always a deep loneliness in my brother that no one could comfort him, and he lived fiercely by soothing and sublimating that feeling through music and singing," adding, "It is only polite to provide a time and place for the many people who remembered and loved my brother to remember and send off Wheesung the singer and Choi Wheesung the human."

He added, "Those who have memories of being made even a little bit happy by my brother's songs and music during his life, please feel free to come to Binsou without any hesitation, so that he won't feel lonely on his way out."

Wheesung passed away at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at 6:29 p.m. on Tuesday at the age of 43. Police suspected no crime and requested an autopsy from the National Institute of Forensic Science to determine the exact cause of death. The preliminary results of the autopsy on Wednesday showed that the cause of death was "unknown," and the results of drug tests are expected in two weeks.
