aespa Wins Two Gold Disk Awards in Japan, Demonstrating Global Popularity
aespa won two awards in the "39th Japan Gold Disk Awards" announced by the Japan Record Association on December 12, taking home the "New artist of the year" and "Best 3 new artists" categories.
aespa made her official debut in Japan last July with the single "Hot Mess" and proved to be highly popular in the country with two arena tours and a successful performance at the Tokyo Dome. In particular, she became the first overseas female artist to perform at the Tokyo Dome for two consecutive years and sold out the venue.
Last year, aespa scored a string of mega hits with the double title tracks "Supernova" and "Armageddon" from the first full-length album and "Whiplash" from the fifth mini album. As a result, the group has been recognized not only at major Korean music awards shows, but also globally, winning Group of the Year at Billboard's Women in Music 2025.
aespa will also be performing in Tokyo this August at Japan's largest music festival, SUMMER SONIC 2025. The festival attracts more than 200,000 people every year, and aespa is expected to bring their signature intense performances and musical colors to the stage.
aespa is currently on tour in Europe and will wrap up their European tour with a concert in Madrid on Dec. 12 (local time). The group will then continue their global tour with an encore concert, "2025 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : PARALLEL LINE - ENCORE," at the KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park on the 15th and 16th. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
