Seventeen's Hoshi X Woozi tops the music charts with new single 'BEAM'
Hoshi and Woozi's first single album, "BEAM," topped the daily music charts on Nov. 11, according to music sales aggregator HanterChart. The title track "Same Age" topped the Bucks Realtime Chart shortly after its release, and also appeared on the Melon Top 100 and Genie Realtime Chart.
Internationally, "Same Age" debuted at No. 1 in two countries and territories, and entered the iTunes Top Songs chart in 17 countries and territories. The track "PINOCCHIO (feat. So!YoON!)" is also gaining traction, reaching the Top 10 in 10 countries and territories.
The music video for "Same Age" is also receiving favorable reviews. Fans have left positive reviews for the video, saying that it captures Hoshi and Woozi's personalities, and that it's "a different charm from the various units of SEVENTEEN" and "a perfect combination."
Overseas media also took notice of the new album. U.S. music publication Rolling Stone said, "Hoshi and Woozi are the duo fans have been waiting for," while People praised their passion for music, saying, "Hoshi and Woozi are artists with creative planning skills."
With this album, Hoshi and Woozi are expected to establish themselves as the flagship artists of 96Line. "We want to give back the light we received from our fans," they said, "and we hope our music and stage can bring happiness to you."
Hoshi and Woozi will be performing their new songs on various music programs, starting with Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 13th.
