Parents of NewJeans (NJZ) members have spoken out, claiming that ADOR is interfering with the organization's activities.

The parents of the five NewJeans members took to their official accounts on Saturday to say, "We gave notice of termination of the exclusive contract on Nov. 29 last year due to the failure of Adobe to fulfill its obligations under the exclusive contract, and the contract was terminated accordingly."

"Adobe no longer has the authority to manage or interfere with NJZ's activities," they wrote.

"On January 6, ADOR filed a preliminary injunction with the court, requesting that the court recognize that it is still NJZ's management company," they continued, "and on February 11, it sought to enjoin not only advertising, but also all musical activities and ancillary activities, including writing, composing, performing, and singing," they said.

The parents pointed out that while the company says it will allow NJZ to operate independently, it is actually taking legal action to prevent them from performing. "The relationship of trust has already been broken due to the defaulted obligations of the agency, and it is impossible for NJZ to have normal entertainment activities if they are forced to work through the agency."

Finally, the parents said, "The termination of the exclusive contract is in accordance with the legal process, and we will diligently pursue the preliminary injunction and main lawsuit to confirm the legality of the termination."

In the meantime, ADOR has filed an exclusive contract validation lawsuit in the Seoul Central District Court to legally confirm the validity of its exclusive contract with NewJeans. The preliminary injunction hearing is scheduled to take place on March 7th.
