TWS named to UK NME's '100 Artists to Watch in 2025' list
Group TWS has been selected as an artist to pay attention to in the global music market.
The British music media NME announced on its official website on the 12th (local time) the "2025 Essential Emerging Artists for 2025." TWS is the only K-pop boy group to be on the list, proving its global influence.
"K-pop boy groups are usually known for their grand concepts and intense songs, but TWS takes a more realistic approach," NME said of TWS. "It was loved in Korea in 2024 for its lovely and authentic sound that explores the emotions of youth, and it is only a matter of time before they capture fans around the world."
Since its debut last year, TWS has drawn attention for its lyrics and refreshing music style. Its debut song "First Meeting Didn't Go As Planned" topped Melon's annual chart in 2024, winning a total of 13 trophies including seven rookie awards at various award ceremonies.
Interest in TWS continued overseas as well. Leading media outlets such as Billboard in the U.S. and Dazed in the U.K., as well as NME, chose TWS' music as the "Best K-pop of 2024." In addition, American music media Consequence named them the "Breakout Act of the Year" and evaluated them as the next generation of K-pop leaders.
Meanwhile, TWS will hold its first fan meeting "2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING 42:CLUB IN SEOUL" at the Olympic Park Handball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul from the 14th to the 16th. This fan meeting proved its high ticket power as all tickets were sold out quickly with only advance reservations. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
