Musicbank "Real Madrid side unilaterally decides to cancel Madrid concert";

The producers of KBS2 music program 'Music Bank' have released an official statement saying that the reason for the recent cancellation of their concert in Madrid, Spain, was an arbitrary decision by Real Madrid.

"We cannot accept the club's unilateral decision, which was unjustly made without any prior consultation," the producers of 'Music Bank' said in an official statement on Tuesday. We demand an official explanation and an apology from Real Madrid."

<"We sternly demand that Real Madrid fulfill their moral and financial responsibility for the losses suffered by K-pop fans and K-pop artists who have invested significant amounts of time and money to attend the concert at the Bernabeu," the statement continued."

On Sept. 13, Real Madrid C.F. and the Bernabeu announced that "due to ongoing noise complaints from residents, all musical performances scheduled to take place at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium until March 2025 will be canceled," according to Music Bank.

MusicBank producers claimed that there was no formal request or prior discussion about canceling the Oct. 12 MusicBank Bernabeu concert until the decision to cancel the show became known through local media.

They also claimed that there was no official explanation or apology to the tens of thousands of K-pop fans until the 19th, six days after Real Madrid first announced the decision to cancel the concert. The producers demanded an official explanation and apology from Real Madrid, emphasizing that "Real Madrid should also take responsibility for damaging the brand image of the 'Music Bank World Tour', which has been created with the love and hard work of K-pop fans around the world for the past 15 years."

Finally, he added, "We once again strongly request that you work together to resume the concert. The 'Music Bank' production team is capable and willing to do everything possible to avoid disappointing K-pop fans waiting for the concert at the Bernabeu, including rescheduling (or shortening) the performance time and minimizing ambient noise. We are also willing to discuss any requests from the Madrid authorities and the Bernabeu venue, and will work with the local organizers and the tens of thousands of K-pop fans to ensure that there are no complaints from residents around the venue."
