SEVENTEEN tops the Oricon chart for the second time in a row... and continues to be popular in Japan
In the latest Oricon chart released on January 18, SEVENTEEN's fourth Japanese single "Shohikigen" (Expiration Date) topped the Daily Single Ranking. Special unit BSS (Seungkwan, Dogyeom, Hoshi)'s second single "TELEPARTY" came in at number two.
On the chart released on the 16th, Bu Seok-soon's "TELEPARTY" was ranked first and SEVENTEEN's "Shohikigen" was ranked second. The fact that groups and unit albums are competing with each other for the top spot on the chart shows their high popularity.
"Shohikigen" has been steadily gaining popularity since its release on November 27 last year, and recently re-entered the top spot. The album also topped Oricon's Weekly Singles Ranking and Weekly Combined Singles Ranking in December last year. It was also certified "double platinum" by the Japan Recording Industry Association of Japan, with shipments exceeding 500,000 copies within five days of its release.
BSS's "TELEPARTY" also topped the weekly album charts on the Korean Circle Chart and Hater Chart, and continues to perform well in Japan, proving their strong presence as a unit.
SEVENTEEN will continue their global activities with their Asian tour. They will perform at the Bulacan Sports Stadium in the Philippines on the 18th and 19th. They will then continue their tour in Singapore on February 25-26, Jakarta on February 8-9, and Bangkok on February 15-16. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
