WEi returns after a year and seven months...with new album 'The Feelings'

WEi has made a comeback after a long hiatus of one year and seven months.

On the 15th, a showcase commemorating the release of WEi's mini 7th album 'The Feelings' was held at Yes24 Wonder Rock Hall in Seoul. The event was hosted by Yoo Jae-pil."

"The Feelings" is WEi's first new album in about a year and seven months since their last mini album, which was released in June 2023. Member Kim Yohan was unable to join us for this activity due to his drama filming schedule."

Jang Daehyeon said, "We're back with a new album after a year and seven months. We're both excited and nervous because we've been through a long hiatus."

Yoo Yongha said, "We're sorry that WEi couldn't be with us, but we prepared as if he had the same heart as us." Kang Seokhwa said, "We prepared with a five-person system, but Yohan also had a lot of opinions, and we will do our best to do his part."

Kim Junseo said, "We are grateful to our fans for waiting for a long time. We will repay them with good albums and activities."

The album captures the various emotions of youth, such as confusion, excitement, and frustration due to love. The album contains five songs, including the title track "Not Enough," as well as "143 ILY," "Fake Love," "Top Shape," and "WITHOUT U."

Jang Daehyeon participated in the composition of the title track. "It was important for us to capture the music that the members wanted to do," he said. Kim Junseo said, "The title track was unanimously chosen by the members as soon as they heard it for the first time."

Kim Donghan said, "This album is especially affectionate because it took a lot of work. For the fifth anniversary of our debut, we took on more challenges in our respective areas." He added that he participated in creating the choreography for the album."

WEi defined the activity as a "youth record. "It's an album about growing up through the pain of love," said Kang Seokhwa, "and I hope many people can relate to it, just like the memories of expressing love with emojis."

The members expressed their high expectations for the album. Yoo Yongha said, "I have a lot of love for this album. I hope the songs will be loved by the public."  Kim Donghan said, "I hope our songs will be heard in various places, such as streets, supermarkets, and department stores."

Kang Seokhwa said, "I want to be the number one most listened to song of the year. I'm dreaming of a miracle of reversal of fortune by receiving a lot of love."

WEi is determined to continue deep communication with their fans through this album.
