'Squid Game' Season 2 fails to win Best Picture at the Golden Globes

The 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards were held on January 6 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The Netflix original series "Squid Game" Season 2 was nominated for Best TV Drama alongside Disney+'s "Shōgun," Netflix's "The Diplomat," AppleTV+'s "Slow Horses," Prime Video's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" and Peacock's "The Day of the Jackal," but failed to win. The trophy in this category went to Shogun. Shogun also holds the record for most wins at the Emmys.

"Squid Game" won Best Supporting Actor for Oh Young-soo in 2021, but Netflix's boycott of the Golden Globes prevented it from winning. He returned to the awards show this year, but again failed to win."

"Squid Game" Season 2 centers on Ki-hoon (Lee Jung-jae), who reenters the game with a vengeance and confronts the frontman (Lee Byung-hun) who is waiting for him. The fierce competition for survival and the start of another game will be waiting for the audience.
