Netflix's 'Squid Game' Season 2 Retains Global Box Office Lead...but Shifts in Some Territories
Season 2 of "'Squid Game" was the No. 1 TV show on Netflix globally for the second day, according to OTT platform analytics site Flixpatrol. However, it only remained at the top in 87 countries and territories, compared to 93 countries and territories over the previous five days.
In six territories, "Missing You" took over the top spot from "'Squid Game" - the Bahamas, Hungary, Ireland, Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Kingdom. Missing You follows detective Kat Donavan as she makes the shocking discovery that the man she meets on a dating app is her long-lost fiancé.
Currently, "Missing You" ranks second on Netflix's overall TV show rankings with a total of 732 points. Season 2 of 'Squid Game, on the other hand, is still going strong with 924 points.
Season 2 of "'Squid Game" centers on Ki-hoon, who is determined to get revenge and confronts the frontman as he enters the game of life again.
