BTS's J-Hope donates 100 million won to support victims of Muan Jeju Air disaster
The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced that J-Hope has donated 100 million won to support the victims of the Muan Jeju Air passenger plane crash.
"Upon hearing the news of the accident, we decided to make a donation to help the bereaved families of the victims," J-HOPE said through the association, adding, "We extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and all those who are saddened by this accident."
J-HOPE is a member of the Hope Bridge Honor's Club, an elite group of major donors who also donated to the flood recovery effort in 2023.
Hope Bridge Secretary General Shin Hoon said, "We are grateful for J-Hope's warm heart for the victims, and we will do our best to ensure that the donation is fully distributed to the bereaved families."
On the other hand, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 from Bangkok, Thailand, landed at Muan International Airport at 9:03 a.m. last month and exploded after hitting the outer runway wall. The crash caused a major disaster, killing 179 of the 181 people on board. The government declared the Muan region of Jeollanam-do a special disaster area and declared a national mourning period until midnight on the 4th. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
