Moon Gabi speaks out on extramarital affair scandal with Jung Woo-sung

Model Moon Gabi opened up about her extramarital affair with actor Jung Woo-sung on Monday. It was the first time she broke her silence and shared her feelings publicly, 26 days after announcing the news of her childbirth.

In a post on her social media, Moon Gabi wrote, "I made a difficult decision last month to let go of the emotions I've been harboring and get back on my feet as a mom of one. On my first birthday as a mom, I wanted to share the news with the people who supported me, both near and far."

In the post, Moon Gabi also discussed her relationship with Jung Woo-sung. "We met at a gathering in 2022 and have had a good relationship since then. I have not met the father of my child since January 2024, and I have never asked for marriage or any other conditions because of my pregnancy," she emphasized.

"We both consented to the birth of the child, and he came to us like an undeserved gift," she said, adding that it was their choice. "I decided to become a mother because I was ready to sacrifice the rest of my life for this child. It was my lack of preparation, not my fault. This child is not a mistake, and he is to be blessed."

Moon Gabi also spoke about the prejudice she's faced as a single mom amid the controversy. "There were definitely moments of laughter and happiness with my child. It's not right to look at the birth of a child in a negative light just because two people aren't married."

Jung Woo-sung also attended the Blue Dragon Film Award ceremony last month, where he said he would fulfill his responsibilities as a father. "I will fulfill my responsibility to my child until the end," he said, summarizing his stance."
