KBS responds for third time to controversy over deletion of Min Hee-jin article

KBS has issued an official response to a third petition on its viewer petition board regarding the removal of an article about former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.

The controversy began when KBS abruptly deleted an article titled, "Min Hee-jin's side 'stopped announcing NewJeans's position'...HYBE 'sorry to Min'". In response, social media user Park Mo Mo posted three times on the KBS viewer petition board to demand an explanation."

On the 28th, KBS responded to the petition, saying, "After the video was released on YouTube, we conducted additional investigations and obtained new information that was different from the previously reported content. After comprehensively considering the various positions, we deleted the article in accordance with our broadcast production guidelines and internal procedures."

"In other cases, we have also revised or discontinued reports after sufficient discussion and review in accordance with our broadcast production guidelines and internal procedures," it added, "We will continue to cover and report on major social events with objective and fair standards."

KBS responded on two previous occasions, stating that it had "considered various positions and decided to remove the article in accordance with its internal procedures," but its explanation was not sufficiently convincing to petitioner Park and some viewers. The controversy has continued with a third petition."
