Group SEVENTEEN proved their global popularity by becoming the highest ranked overseas artist in Japan's annual Oricon rankings.

According to the annual rankings 2024 released by Oricon on July 27, SEVENTEEN ranked fourth in the total ranking for sales by artist, with sales of 6.38 billion yen. This is the highest ranking for any overseas artist, including K-pop, demonstrating SEVENTEEN's strong recording power and presence in Japan.

The total ranking for sales by artist combines sales of music software such as singles, albums, music DVDs and Blu-rays, and digital works such as digital singles and albums and streaming. In addition to this category, SEVENTEEN also ranked #3 in the music software rankings, the highest ranking for an international artist.

The group also achieved the highest rankings for international artists in the Combined Album Rankings and Album Rankings, respectively. In the combined album ranking, their best album 17 IS RIGHT HERE and mini 12-pack SPILL THE FEELS ranked 3rd and 5th respectively. In the album rankings, their best album and 12th mini album were ranked 4th and 5th, and their 11th mini album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN, released last year, was ranked 13th, giving them a total of three albums in the top 15.

Japan's fourth album, Shohikigen (Expiration Date), came in at No. 17 on the singles chart. The album was released in November and only spent about two weeks on the yearly list, proving SEVENTEEN's strong fanbase.

SEVENTEEN has made a name for itself in Japan this year, with both albums and concerts doing well. Their SEVENTEEN FOLLOW AGAIN TO JAPAN concerts at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium and Kanagawa's Nissan Stadium in May mobilized an estimated 254,000 people in just four performances.

The SEVENTEEN RIGHT HERE WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN, which took place from November through December, was a sellout, with approximately 485,000 people attending every show. In the six cities where the tour was held, an urban concert playpark, SEVENTEEN THE CITY, was also opened and received a great response.

Next year, SEVENTEEN will continue its activities on the global stage. In January and February, they will continue their world tour with large stadium performances in major Asian cities. In April, the group will become the first K-pop artist to perform at Tecate Pal Norte 2025, Latin America's largest music festival in Mexico.
