Song Min-ho suspected of social worker misbehavior...police launch investigation

The Military Personnel Administration has requested a police investigation into WINNER's Song Min-ho for alleged misconduct as a social service worker. Song Min-ho has been serving as a social service worker at a facility in Mapo-gu, Seoul, since March of last year, and was demobilized on March 23.

If the police investigation reveals that Song Min-ho's attitude problems are true, the military plans to cancel his demobilization and have him reenlist for the period in question. An official explained that the agency will not conduct its own investigation because the police investigation is more accurate.

Song Min-ho's alleged misconduct arose from a report by an entertainment media outlet. According to the report, he allegedly did not report to work regularly during his military service due to sick leave, annual leave, and hospitalization, and on the days he did report to work, he played games and did not work properly.

In this regard, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon has ordered a full investigation into the service of social service personnel in the city and its affiliated organizations. He said he plans to take strict action based on the results of the investigation and, if necessary, recommend system improvements to the Military Service Administration to ensure fairness in military service.

Meanwhile, the Mapo Police Station filed a complaint against Song Min-ho after receiving an investigation request from the Military Service Administration on March 23. The police will review the information submitted by the military service to determine whether he violated the Military Service Act.
