Shin Ye-eun makes screen debut in movie 'Unspeakable Secret'... Expect chubby charm
Shin Ye-eun will film her first movie. Secret is a fantasy romance that begins when Yoo Joon and Jung Ah meet by chance in a campus practice room where the secrets of time are hidden. Based on the 2008 film of the same name, Shin Ye-eun will showcase her new charm in the role of In-hee, a music student majoring in violin and the head of the music department.
Shin Ye-eun's In-hee is an outspoken and lively character, and her interest in Yoo-joon (Do Kyung-soo), who keeps catching her eye, adds a lot of energy to the drama. "I thought that the violin I learned as a child would help me, but I had to learn from scratch," Shin says, adding that she prepared hard by learning from teachers and having video calls with people who play music to check her posture and performance."
Director Seo Yoo-min said of Shin Ye-eun, "She was really like In-hee from the first time I met her," adding, "I wanted her to have the image of a modern college student who is proud and confident, and she had that feeling."
Shin Ye-eun made her debut as Do Hana, a young high school student in the web drama A-Teen, and has since garnered attention for her delicate performances in a variety of works, including Revenge of Others, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse, The Glory, and Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born. In particular, she established herself as a mainstream actress by steadily portraying the role of Heo Young-seo in Jung Ega. She has also won numerous awards, including Best New Actress at the 2nd Cheongryong Series Awards and Best Female Actress at the 2023 SBS Acting Awards.
Secret, a fantasy romance film featuring new challenges for Shin Ye-eun, is scheduled to hit theaters in January 2025. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
