Song Min Ho released from military alternative service...controversy continues amid allegations of misconduct

Group Winner member Song Min-ho has been released from military service after completing his alternative military service.

On March 23, Song Min-ho ended his service as a social service worker at the Mapo Residents' Benefit Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul, according to the entertainment industry. He began his military service on March 24 last year and has been serving as a social service worker after undergoing basic military training.

Ahead of his demobilization, Song Min-ho was at the center of controversy over allegations of poor performance. According to some media reports, he was accused of falsifying his time and attendance records without legitimately reporting to work, sparking criticism.

In response, his agency, YG Entertainment, said, "It is difficult to confirm specific details related to an artist's military service," but added, "His sick leave is an extension of the treatment he received before his military service, and he used his vacation time according to the regulations."

Nevertheless, as complaints continued to pour in, the Military Service Administration began the process of verifying the facts, and police reportedly launched an internal investigation into whether Song violated the Military Service Act.

Song Min-ho has been demobilized, but the controversy over his unauthorized service is still unresolved, and it is possible that the controversy will continue depending on the outcome of the military and police investigations.
