2NE1 wraps up Japan concert with a bang... the return of the 'K-pop legends'
2NE1 held the 2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN JAPAN at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, for three days from March 13 to 15. The two-day concert quickly sold out as soon as tickets went on sale, and additional performances were held, proving the group's continued popularity with local fans.
The concert got off to a strong start and quickly set the tone. 2NE1 opened with "Come Back Home" and their debut song "Fire," which was met with cheers from the audience as soon as they appeared. The group then followed up with a string of mega-hits, including "Clap," "Can't Nobody," and "Do You Love Me," and kept the energy high throughout their set.
The concert was significant in that it marked the 15th anniversary of 2NE1's debut, and the group met with Japanese fans for the first time in a long time, giving them a special treat by performing Japanese versions of some of their songs, including "I'm the Best."
There were also special guests who added to the excitement of the event. YG Entertainment's junior girl group Baby Monster made a surprise appearance at the concert and delivered an intense performance, establishing their presence as 'monster rookies'. The fans' reactions to the unexpected appearance were even more enthusiastic, and 2NE1 and Baby Monster cheered each other on, creating a warm chemistry between seniors and juniors.
The stage production was also overwhelming. The LED screens, band, dancers, and YG's high quality production made the performance more complete. During the encore, the fans' waves of cheering sticks were beautifully displayed, and the members expressed their gratitude to the fans with emotion.
2NE1 is currently on their 15th anniversary tour in Asia. After successful performances in Seoul, Manila, Jakarta, Kobe, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, the group will continue their tour to Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and Macau, where they will continue to meet with their global fans. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
