Twice debuts at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with new album 'Strategy,' breaking K-pop girl group record

Group TWICE has scored another Top 10 hit on the Billboard 200, the U.S. Billboard's main album chart, with their new album STRATEGY.

 

According to an official article released by Billboard on the 15th (local time), TWICE's mini-album STRATEGY sold 88,000 units in its first week of release, placing it at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.

 

This marks TWICE's sixth consecutive Billboard Top 10 album, starting with their mini 10th album "Taste of Love" at No. 6 in 2021, followed by their regular 3rd album "Formula of Love" at No. 3, mini 11th album "Between One and Two" at No. 3, mini 12th album "Ready to Be" at No. 2, and mini 13th album "With You" at No. 1. This is a record for any K-pop girl group, proving TWICE's global influence once again.

 

The new song "Strategy" is a song with the message of "attracting the one you love with multiple strategies" and features Megan Dee Stallone. Twice has been garnering a lot of attention from fans around the world with his strong performances and confident charm."

 

Twice said through JYP Entertainment, "This is an album we worked hard to prepare to meet more fans. I was happy to be able to showcase it on a music broadcast after about 10 months," said Twice. "We would like to thank our fans for their great love, and next year, we will be appearing as a special guest for Coldplay's concert in Korea. We are also preparing for a new world tour and an amazing stage, so please look forward to it."

 

Twice has been on a roll thanks to the support of their global fans. On Nov. 21, he became the first K-pop artist to perform on Amazon Music Live, and his performance was the most watched in the show's history.

 

The group will also be making their fifth career appearance on NHK's Hongbaek Gahapjeon, Japan's leading year-end special broadcast, on December 31st. With a successful year under their belt, TWICE has set the stage for what's to come in 2025.
