ADOR Responds to Accusations Against NewJeans Manager

Group NewJeans's agency, ADOR, responded to the allegations of Manager A, who accused CEO Kim Joo Young of workplace harassment, and announced its legal response.

On the 10th, ADOR said in an official statement, "Recently, an employee who was in charge of artist management contacted advertisers directly without the company's approval to sign contracts between artists and brands." The company noted that the manager admitted to this behavior, which constitutes a material breach of the artist's exclusive contract."

According to the company, the manager was supposed to ensure the smooth execution of the exclusive contract between the company and the artist, but instead acted arbitrarily. The company said it launched an internal investigation shortly after the matter arose and provided the manager with ample opportunity to be heard, but the manager consistently made false statements and failed to cooperate with the investigation.

ADOR also alleged that before the manager returned the laptop, which was company property, he formatted it so that it could not be recovered. "As a result, we are unable to determine what material was even deleted," the company said, adding that it plans to "thoroughly investigate the facts of the matter and take any necessary legal action."

The company said it will take a firm stance against any behavior that undermines the company's internal order, and said it would clarify the circumstances of the incident.
