SEVENTEEN tops Oricon on first day of Japan's 4th single release...Dome tour continues to grow in popularity

Group Seventeen's fourth Japanese single, "Shohikigen" (消費期限/Expiration Date), has climbed to the top of the Oricon chart upon its release.

 

According to the latest chart (dated Nov. 26) released by Japan's Oricon on Nov. 27, SEVENTEEN's new single sold 362,369 copies on its first day of release, topping the "Daily Single Ranking."

 

The title track, "Shohikigen," is a ballad about the expiration date of emotions, featuring the members' delicate expressions. The song was featured as the theme song for the NHK drama "未来の私にぶっかまされる!?" and the accompanying music video reached #1 on Line Music's Top 100 Music Videos.

 

SEVENTEEN has previously topped the Oricon chart with their best album "17 IS RIGHT HERE," mini 12th album "SPILL THE FEELS," and their single "THIS MAN" with Jungkook X Wonwoo unit. With this latest single, the group has once again proven its strong influence in Japan."

 

Currently, SEVENTEEN is meeting with local fans through their Japanese dome tour "SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN"*. The tour kicks off at BANTEREIN DOME Nagoya on November 29-30, followed by a dome tour on December 4-5, Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 12-14 and 15, and Fukuoka Peipei Dome on December 19-21 and 22.

 

In particular, the cities where the concerts will be held will host "Seventeen the City," an urban concert playpark that will provide local fans with a variety of activities.
