Werther is based on Goethe's novel The Sorrows of Young Werther, which tells the sublime love story of Werther and Lotte. Since its premiere in 2000, it has been a staple of Korean musicals with its delicate storyline, sophisticated production, and beautiful chamber orchestra. This 25th anniversary performance will showcase the essence of a well-made musical with an upgraded stage and production.
The colorful casting lineup is also attracting attention. Yang Yo-seop and Kim Min-seok are expected to play Werther with deep emotions, while Jeon Mi-do, Lee Ji-hye, and Ryu In-ah bring their characters to life with their different charms.
In addition, Park Jae-yoon and Lim Jung-mo as Lotte's fiancé Albert, Ryu Soo-hwa and Lee Young-mi as Albert's advisor Orka, and Kim Yi-dam and Lee Bong-joon as the gardener Kainz will complete the cast.
The 25th anniversary production of Werther is set to open in December, proving once again that it is a well-made original musical. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
