Le SSERAFIM becomes the first K-pop girl group to win the Japan Record Award for Special International Music
At the '66th Shine! Japan Record Awards," LE SSERAFIM became the first K-pop girl group to win the Special International Music Award, proving their musical status.
The Japan Record Awards is a long-established music awards program organized by the Japan Society of Composers and Songwriters since 1959, which recognizes artists who have made a mark on the world beyond their specific country. This award recognizes Le SSERAFIM's achievements in the global music scene.
Le SSERAFIM said through its agency, "We are honored to receive this award at the Japan Record Awards. We would like to thank my fans FEARNOT for always supporting me. We will continue to do our best to show our wonderful side."
This award is just one of many international accomplishments for Le SSERAFIM. The group has swept the world's major awards shows this year, winning Push Performance of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) and Best Push at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs), Europe's biggest music awards show.
Le SSERAFIM also continues to be a huge hit in Japan. As anticipation builds for their third Japanese single, "CRAZY," which will be released on December 11th, the preview track "Star Signs" climbed to the top of the Line Music and AWA charts upon its release and was selected as the year-end campaign song for Japanese fashion retailer LUMINE.
Le SSERAFIM will also be making their presence felt on major Japanese broadcasts throughout the year. The group will perform at the FNS Music Festival on December 11 and the 75th Kōhaku Uta Gassen on December 31, and has been invited to the latter for the third year in a row, showing off its K-pop prowess. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
