BTS dominates Billboard charts...members' solo careers continue to grow in popularity
"I'll Be There," the lead single from JIN's first solo album "Happy," has continued to show steady popularity, peaking at No. 72 on the Global (excluding U.S.) chart and No. 123 on the Global 200 chart for three consecutive weeks. Jin's "Happy," which was released on March 15, sold 846,690 copies on its first day of release, topping the Hater Chart's daily album chart. This surpassed the first-week sales of his previous album, "The Astronaut," in a single day, strengthening his position as a solo artist. "Happy" also topped Japan's Oricon chart's Weekly Digital Album Rankings (Nov. 11-17), proving its international popularity.
Jimin's sophomore solo album "MUSE" debuted at No. 152 on the Billboard 200, while the title track "Who" peaked at No. 45 on the Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 17 consecutive weeks. The song continues to be a favorite, peaking at No. 11 on the Global (excluding U.S.), No. 13 on the Global 200 and No. 32 on Streaming Songs.
Jungkook has also continued to dominate the charts. His first solo single "Seven (feat. Latto)" and the title track "Standing Next to You" from his solo album "GOLDEN," released last year, reached No. 64 and No. 140 on the Global (excluding the U.S.) chart, respectively. "Seven" in particular also reached No. 110 on the Global 200, proving its enduring popularity.
The boy band's album Proof continues to perform strongly as a group, spending its 12th consecutive week in the Top 10 on Billboard's World Albums chart. The album continues to hold steady in its 127th week on the chart.
The members' active solo careers and steady performance on the Billboard charts have once again confirmed BTS' presence in the global music market." <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
