Kim Junsu, former member of TVXQ, extorted hundreds of millions of won from female BJ...police investigation underway

Singer Kim Junsu (Group JX) is in shock after it was revealed that he was extorted hundreds of millions of won from a female BJ.

According to a report by the Culture Daily on the 15th, the Gyeonggi North District Police Agency applied for an arrest warrant for A, a female BJ, on charges of extortion under the Specified Economic Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act. She is accused of blackmailing Kim Jun-soo from September 2020 to October 2024 and extorting 840 million won ($410,000) from him 101 times in total.

A allegedly used his acquaintance with Kim Junsu in 2019 to secretly record his conversations and voice, threatening to disseminate them and demanding money.

The investigation revealed that Mr. A, who is currently facing drug-related charges, committed these crimes to raise money to purchase drugs. Kim has not responded to media requests for comment.

Meanwhile, Kim Junsu is currently performing in the group JX alongside fellow former Bang Bang Shingi member Kim Jaejoong. He held a solo concert to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut on Aug. 8 and is set to play the lead role in the musical Aladdin, which premieres on Sept. 22.
