THE BOYZ Sunwoo, bastardized fan assaulted...agency "strong response without punishment";

The Boyz member Sunwoo was assaulted by an illegitimate fan who invaded his privacy.

IST Entertainment released an official statement through its official fan cafe on Thursday, saying, "Recently, there have been ongoing incidents of artists' privacy violations and safety threats."

According to the agency, some fans have repeatedly engaged in illegal behavior, such as visiting private spaces such as offices, shops, and lodgings without permission or following private schedules. In particular, on the 9th of this month, when Sunwoo was entering his hostel after his schedule, he was approached by an illegitimate fan who was hiding in the emergency stairwell, leading to an assault."

"Feeling threatened, Sunwoo immediately notified our staff, who caught the person and handed him over to the police," the agency said, adding that "during this process, the person assaulted Sunwoo several times as he tried to flee." The person in question has been arrested on suspicion of home invasion and assault, and the police investigation is ongoing.

There was also another issue. "Recently, it was discovered that an artist's car had a location tracker attached to it, and another car's tires were intentionally slashed," the label said. Fortunately, we were able to recognize the incidents shortly after they occurred and prevented further damage, and we have CCTV footage and have reported them to the police."

The agency emphasized that "the invasion of the artist's privacy has crossed the line," adding, "We are in the process of collecting evidence and reviewing the material through our legal representatives, and there will be no plea bargain or settlement."

IST Entertainment asked fans to cooperate in preventing a recurrence, saying, "We will continue to take a strong legal response to protect the safety and rights of our artists."
