Ryu Hyo-young opens up about T-ara bullying controversy
"I was about 20 years old at the time, and my sister and I had left our hometown and were living alone in Seoul," Ryu wrote, adding, "With each other as our only support, I heard from my sister that she was being bullied by the members of T-ara, and I was deeply shocked to see her crying and clinging to me, saying that it was difficult."
She also noted that his actions to protect Hwayoung led to the text incident in question, saying, "I think it was stupid of me to send that text and I regret it. I have already apologized for the texts I sent to T-ara member Areum at the time, but I still feel sorry for myself."
Ryu Hyo-young said, "At my young age, there was only so much I could do. I couldn't stay silent because I was worried that my sister would make a bad choice," adding that "I hope you can understand that I made the best choice to protect my precious family."
Meanwhile, on MBN's "Let's GO Season 3," which aired on Sept. 9, MBK Entertainment CEO Kim Kwang Soo reopened the controversial 2012 Tiara "bullying" case, saying, "Ryu Hwa Young was not bullied."
In response, Ryu Hwa-young reiterated her stance on social media on Tuesday, saying that she was verbally abused and assaulted by the members at the time. The controversy has since spread even further, causing widespread controversy. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
