BABYMONSTER releases album 7 months after debut

Girl group BABYMONSTER has shared their thoughts on the release of their first full-length album.

BABYMONSTER(RUKA, PHARITA, ASA, AHYEON, RAMI, RORA, CHIQUITA) held a press conference to commemorate the release of their first full-length album '[DRIP]' at YG's office in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 1st. MC was Shin Ah Young.

'[DRIP]' is Baby Monster's first new album in about three months since 'FOREVER' and their first full-length album since their debut. At seven months after their debut, it's the fastest for any YG artist in history.

RORA said, "I'm finally back with my first full-length album. We prepared this album to reward our fans for their support, and we've been able to interact with them and learn a lot from them through our fan meeting tours, so I feel like we've had a meaningful year."

Specifically, "DRIP" became a hot topic because G-Dragon participated in the composition. "When I first heard the news, everyone was surprised, of course. They even asked me if it was real, but since he participated in our album, I decided that I had to do my best to repay him."

"It's an album with a variety of genres, so we're excited to show a new side of Baby Monster," said CHIQUITA.

AHYEON continued, "We took on many new challenges while preparing for this album. We practiced a wide spectrum of genres, and I think this is an album that will showcase that. I'm glad that it was a good opportunity to show what we learned during the fan meeting."
