Choi Min-hwan suspended over sex trafficking allegations...police launch internal investigation

Band FT Ireland's Choi Min-hwan is suspending his activities.

"While it is difficult for us to know the details of his personal life related to marital issues, Choi Min-hwan feels responsible for the disappointment he has caused many members of the public and viewers, and has decided to suspend all media activities, including the shows he is appearing on with his children," his agency FNC Entertainment said on Friday. "We apologize for the inconvenience and distress this has caused many people."

Earlier, his ex-wife, Yulhee, revealed on YouTube that they divorced after a conflict over Choi Min-hwan's visits to a nightclub. Yulhee also released a recording of a phone call between Choi Min-hwan and an official at the brothel, which sparked controversy over allegations of sex trafficking.

On the 25th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul launched a pre-investigation (internal investigation) into Choi Min-hwan's alleged entry into a brothel on suspicion of violating the Sex Trafficking Punishment Act and other charges.
