Jessi attends police inquiry after assault controversy...vows to punish perpetrators
On May 16 at 10 p.m., the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul called Jessi as a suspect and conducted an investigation.
Jessi appeared with a black hat pressed down on her head. She said, "I hope they find the person who hit a fan quickly, and I hope the perpetrator to be punished. I'll tell you everything as soon as I know it."
When asked by reporters, Jessi said she had never seen the assailant before, adding that she apologized to the victim.
The controversy erupted in the early morning hours of March 29 when a fan, who was underage and had asked Jessi to take a photo with her, was assaulted by a man who was with her in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Jessi tried to stop the assault but fled the scene, and when police officers responding to the victim's report found Jessi and her group nearby and asked her about the man, she reportedly said she didn't know him. Four people, including Jessi, have been charged with assault and other offenses against the victim. <저작권자 ⓒ 코인리더스 무단전재 및 재배포 금지>
